STEP is an Australian Government initiative which funds projects that lead to lasting employment opportunities for Indigenous job seekers. These projects often include structured training, such as apprenticeships or traineeships, as a lead into or part of a job.
STEP funding is flexible and could include:
Support to develop an Indigenous employment strategy for your organisation
Pre-employment and formal training that helps job seekers transition to identified jobs
Wage subsidy
Development of cross cultural awareness training packages
Mentoring and career development training
Marketing and other initiatives to facilitate the supply of suitable job seekers
Administration costs. |
