The Indigenous Youth Employment Mentoring Program aims to assist students and unemployed Indigenous youth make the most of the employment and training opportunities available in the Central Murray region.
It does this by training Mentors and assigning each accredited Mentor a Mentee whom they will work closely with to ensure that they have the confidence to undertake employment positions or take on training courses.
Mentees of the program must be Indigenous youth aged between 15 and 25 years who are either attending school or unemployed. Mentors will assist these youth by providing personal and practical advice, guidance and assistance to ensure that their quest to acheive success in employment or training opportunities is fulfilled.
