This project involves the construction of a ‘walk-in walk-out’ community Medical Clinic for the purpose of delivering general medical consulting practice in the wider Rushworth area. The construction of a community owned medical practice will allow the community to attract and retain general practitioners and attract specialist heath services increasing accessibility to essential health and medical professionals. The project will also benefit other business and service providers in the wider district and create community satisfaction. Amount approved: $335,214

This project involves the refurbishment and restoration of the historic river wharf in Moulamein. This includes the stabilisation and/or replacement of piles, structural bearers and decking and installation of interpretive signage and visitor facilities in the area. Works will not only improve public access, but also ensure the structure is compliant with Occupational Health and Safety legislation. Further to this, it can be anticipated that the project will stimulate economic and social growth within the Moulamein and wider district. Amount approved: $27,500

This project involves the upgrade of the Caldwell and Womboota community halls and also the Bunnaloo Recreation Reserve (rooms and sporting facility). This project is about bringing the communities of Bunnaloo, Womboota and Caldwell together. These Murray Shire communities have been hit hard by the drought and are somewhat isolated and have therefore decided to band together to try and get their essential community facilities upgraded, thus giving the locals something to focus on and work towards. Amount approved: $96,093
