Our Region Board Members Staff ACC Charter
Central Murray Area Consultative Committee (ACC) is an apolitical, not-for-profit, community based organisation funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government. Central Murray ACC is one of 54 Area Consultative Committees throughout Australia, working to achieve local community goals by developing partnerships between the community, government and business.
With the recent Federal Election came the announcement of the Regional Development Australia network, which will take on a broader role than that of the current Area Consultative Committees. It is proposed that Regional Development Australia committees will provide strategic input into national programs, improve the coordination of the Government's regional development initiatives and work closely with local government bodies and other regional organisations. Central Murray ACC will soon transition into a Regional Development Australia committee.
